November 21
12:54 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported that her son was assaulted on the school bus by another student the previous afternoon. Under investigation.
3:13 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a truck bearing an archived plate. The driver was suspended and ticketed accordingly and the truck impounded.
6:51 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported her debit card, credit card and birth certificate were stolen from her car. Member investigated video surveillance from a store where a card was used, but the male was not identified.
10:01 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Ave – Complainant reported that the back window on her SUV was damaged, sometime after 6:00 p.m. Unclear how the damage occurred.
November 22
6:38 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 St – Complainant reported two windows damaged on his truck and possibly something stolen, though it didn’t appear entry was gained. Member attended and spoke to the complainant who later advised that nothing was missing and damage may have been from something like a pellet gun. The item possibly missing had been removed the day before by his girlfriend. Window damage under investigation.
8:33 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member on patrol stopped a vehicle after a plate query showed the owner was a suspended driver. Court compelling ticket issued to the driver.
2:52 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Unwanted Pizza – Complainant reported that $118.00 worth of pizza was delivered to her house that she did not order. Complainant suspects a female youth who doesn’t get along with her daughter is responsible. Under investigation.
2:58 p.m. – Parkland County – Moon Lake area – Members attended a residence with paramedics due to a male found deceased. The death did not appear to be suspicious; Medical Examiner contacted and due to circumstances will not be investigating further. Next of kin notified.
8:33 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a window broken in their SUV while in a parking lot, occurred sometime in the past couple hours. A purse containing cash, two wallets, gift cards and keys was stolen. Under investigation.
November 23
9:28 a.m. – Brazeau County – Cynthia area – Complainant reported copper wire stolen from a lease site, sometime since the beginning of October.
1:36 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported a three-vehicle collision involving semi’s with one jackknifed. Members attended and determined there was no collision or jackknife though one service rig truck had broken down and two more vehicles were stopped assisting. Members assisted with traffic control for a short time until the disabled rig could move on its own again.
5:21 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported two males trying to break in to the post office. Members attended and located two males trying to gain entry with a tool. One was arrested and released on scene with a summons while the other was held in cells overnight to sober up and then released on an Undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
November 24
8:32 a.m. – Brazeau County – Easyford area – Complainant reported two trucks with four to five people apparently in the process of stealing a large motor from a gas facility site. Members attended the area and confirmed a site had been entered, and located the motor nearby, but didn’t locate the trucks. It seems that the complainant spooked the thieves who drove their two trucks and small trailer out of the dead-end area by using an ATV trail. Under investigation.
8:06 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a shoplifter stole a bottle of whiskey from a liquor store. Under investigation.
November 25
6:09 a.m. – Parkland County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported a car all over the road and driving erratically, northbound on Highway 22. Complainant then reported that after hitting a guard rail the car was now stopped near Township Road 512. Members attended and found that the driver was not impaired by alcohol, though possibly by drugs. Investigation at the scene and a search of the vehicle lead to the driver, 32-year-old Matthew Dube, being arrested and charged with seven counts of failing to comply with a release order. Dube was held for a telephone bail hearing and released by a Justice of the Peace to appear in court at a later date.
November 26
12:21 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St/50 Ave – Complainant reported that a female who was previously banned from 7/11 had come in the store and was refusing to leave. Member attended and the female left after being told not to come back. Member returned shortly after the first call as the female was back causing issues; 58-year-old Louise Arthur was arrested for mischief and held for a telephone bail hearing. Arthur was released later by a Justice of the Peace to appear in court at a later date.
8:24 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 Ave – Complainant reported that sometime in the wee hours of Nov. 22, someone shot a window of his van with a bb gun. Member investigated but found no witnesses, video surveillance or other evidence that would point to a suspect.
9:30 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported that a co-worker is being stalked by her neighbour. Member spoke to the victim and learned there are ongoing issues with a neighbour. Member spoke to the suspect and issued him a written warning to stop his unwanted contact or be charge accordingly.
12:51 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported that his vehicle was broken into while left parked overnight at a restaurant. A gym bag was stolen with various items inside. Under investigation.
6:31 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 Ave – Complainant reported her unlocked vehicle was entered and some items stolen, occurred sometime over the past few hours. Under investigation.
8:44 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Third party complainant that a female had been shot at with a slingshot over by the dump. Members located the female in the area; she stated a known male (who is not homeless or staying by the dump) had been shooting a sling shot at her by Poplar Ridge while she was looking for her son. Member was unable to make much sense of what she was saying and suspected there were mental health issues at play. The female did not have any injuries and stated she would be heading back to Entwistle.
11:04 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant requested unwanted people be removed from a hotel room. Members attended and located three well known locals in a room with a 17-year-old female who was not from the area. Members removed the three unwanted people who appeared to have been trying to make a friend just to find a place for the night, none of whom appeared to realize how young the female was. Members spoke to the girl’s father who had rented her the room; he appreciated the police involvement and would be coming to talk to his daughter once he was done work.
November 27
3:48 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Third hand information received that there may have been non-consensual sex between a male and female youth. Under investigation.
