Parkland RCMP say there was a large police presence in Alberta Beach at approximately 10:00 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 16.
While officials say there was no risk to the public, Alberta Beach residents were told to avoid the area and to refrain from posting images of police movements on social media.
The police operation ended around Noon on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Officials say an update will be provided once it becomes available.
