One person is dead following a two-vehicle collision in the County of Wetaskiwin Tuesday.
On June 25, 2024, at approximately 2:14 p.m., Breton RCMP received a report of a serious collision involving a Dodge RAM truck and a Ford Ranger at the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 22.
Breton RCMP attended and Emergency Medical Services and Fire Services were already on scene. Mounties say the 87-year-old female driver of the Ford Ranger was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the 36-year-old male driver of the Dodge RAM was uninjured.
Although the collision is still under investigation, Breton RCMP’s preliminary investigation indicates the RAM was heading northbound on Highway 22 when it collided with the Ford Ranger that entered the intersection.
Alberta RCMP extends its condolences to the loved ones of the deceased.
