A man from the Paul Band First Nation reported missing last month has been located deceased.
According to Parkland RCMP, on Jan. 29, 2024, Liam Bird was located deceased by family at a rural location.
Officials say Bird was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where his identity was confirmed. Police say the cause of Bird’s death has been deemed non-suspicious.
Alberta RCMP extend their condolences to the loved ones of the deceased.

Jan. 28, 2024 – Parkland RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance to locate 21-year-old Liam Bird, who was last seen on January 24, 2024 on Paul Band First Nation. Liam was last seen wearing a red sweater and tan pants. He is described as:
- Medium complexion
- 5’6” (168cm) tall
- 145 lbs (66kg)
- Slim build
- Black hair
- Brown eyes
