October 26
10:37 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reported some personal items stolen overnight from his apartment, complainant also identified a suspect. Members located the suspect and retrieved the items. Charges are pending against a female youth.
October 27
12:08 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported his wallet missing; last seen while at Timmy’s.
12:50 pm – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22/50 St N – Complainant reported an elderly male walking on the highway in the traffic lane. Member attended the area but didn’t locate the male, though traffic control people were on scene moving the lights for a wide load.
2:57 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 St – Complainant reported extensive damage caused by a tenant. Water lines cut and apartment flooded for several days. Under investigation.
11:55 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Member on patrol stopped a pickup seen swerving on the road. Member issued a MAS (mandatory alcohol screening) demand, driver provided a sample with a result of “fail.” The driver was issued a 90-day provincial suspension and the truck was towed. #DriveSober.
October 28
1:28 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Member on patrol stopped a vehicle leaving the area. MAS demand read, driver provided two breath samples, both were “fail” results. The driver was issued a 90-day provincial suspension and the truck was towed. #Don’tDrinkAndDrive.
9:14 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported she provided her PAL and sent an e-transfer to a company selling ammunition online. Email involved is now inactive and she hasn’t heard back. Under investigation.
October 29
2:36 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Member on patrol stopped a car with a burnt-out headlight.; MAS demand read and the driver provided two samples, both were a “warn”. The driver was issued a three-day suspension and the car was impounded.
1:43 p.m. – Brazeau County – Cynthia area – Complainant reported a 500-gallon propane tank stolen from a lease site, sometime over the past few days.
6:03 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Female complainant reported a male had been following her and had texted her soliciting sex. The female was waiting for police in a gas station. Member arrived and noted the suspect’s vehicle quickly leave the parking lot. The female didn’t want charges, just wanted to be left alone and for the male to be warned. Member spoke to the mid-60’s male at his residence and told him to stop being creepy or he would be arrested and charged.
October 30
2:39 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a possible domestic ongoing in the hotel room above his. Members attended and determined the couple involved had only been arguing over alleged infidelity; nothing criminal had occurred.
8:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Member investigating a fraud targeting an elderly male in which a significant amount of money was being sent to scammers. Under investigation, but it is believed that no funds were lost as the bank draft being sent via courier was being retrieved.
10:43 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 St – Complainant reported a female was being sexually harassed by a neighbouring tenant. Under investigation.
12:32 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 41 Ave – Complainant reported a male had jumped a fence into a communications site. Members attended and found that the male had left after being yelled at by another neighbour.
2:04 p.m. – Drayton Valley – A male called 911 reporting he was suicidal due to some undesirable life events. Members located the male at his residence where he was detained under the Mental Health Act and transported to Ponoka for assessment and treatment of his mental health issues.
8:00 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Member observed a vehicle travelling quickly and tailgating the next vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and a MAS demand read. The driver provided breath samples, results “caution”. The driver was issued a three-day provincial suspension and his car was impounded.
10:20 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Ave – Member conducting patrols on the last file observed a white SUV driving erratically. A traffic stop was conducted and it was determined that the GDL driver had consumed alcohol. A roadside suspension was issued and the SUV was towed.
October 31
1:59 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported concerns over discipline bordering on child abuse. Member investigated and is consulting CFS.
5:36 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 Ave – Complainant reported a male screaming in a park. Members attended and the male stated he was going to kill one of the members. The male attempted to flee before being arrested, and then bit one of the officers while being arrested. Once back in cells he spat in the other officer’s face. 38-year-old Dustin Brooks was charged with several offences and held for a telephone bail hearing. Brooks was remanded in custody.
9:14 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Drayton Christian School – Complainant who was working in the school reported a disturbance, believed that someone was banging on doors at the rear. Members attended and located several youths, though all were adamant of their innocence.
10:03 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Information received regarding a male in his 40’s with outstanding warrants was hiding out at a local residence. Members attended but were unable to locate the male. Members suspect the male is in the area and will continue looking for him.
November 1
1:24 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – A known female called 911 four times, yelling at the dispatchers. Member attended the female’s residence; the female began yelling at the member and appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance. The female said she called because someone was after her but continued to verbally abuse the member on scene. The female was told to go inside or be arrested, she chose to go back inside.
1:54 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Staff at 7/11 reported a female running through the store threatening a male and assaulting a female. Witnesses had observed the female waving a knife and threatening people. Members attended and arrested 39-year-old Tracy Rediron. Rediron was charged with several offences, held for a telephone bail hearing and released by a Justice of the Peace to appear in court at a later date.
9:52 a.m. – Parkland County – Tomahawk area – Complainant requesting information on dealing with dogs chasing livestock. Member provided some advice and suggested contacting Parkland County Peace Officers.
2:25 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Third party complaint that a child may be a victim of physical abuse. Member liaised with CFS who are investigating and will contact police if needed.
4:56 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Ctr Blvd – Complainant reported a male and female shoplifting, about one hour earlier. Under investigation.
4:49 p.m. – Tomahawk – Third party complaint that a child may have been choked by a parent. Further investigation determined no choking had occurred, only acceptable parental involvement over an incident of lying. CFS advised.
7:35 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Meraw Estates – Complainant reported a dispute with his roommate. Members attended and found one of the two very intoxicated by alcohol and possibly over the counter meds. Paramedics attended and the male was transported to hospital to be monitored until sober.
10:36 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Ave – Complainant reported that her son’s truck had been egged on two separate occasions. A suspect was suggested, though only by rumours at school. Under investigation. The assigned member believes he can crack this case.
November 2
6:46 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported a male sleeping under the stairs of an apartment building. Member attended but the male was gone.
