October 5
12:44 a.m. – Cynthia – Member responded to a report of a tractor trailer stuck in a ditch. Driver appeared to have cut the corner putting a trailer in the ditch. Driver sober, company had already called a tow.
7:53 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Ave – Complainant reported a backpack and contents stolen from his truck overnight. Backpack described as a Bob Marley Rastafarian coloured with lunchbox. Under investigation.
October 6
10:54 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 St – School Resource Officer received a report of an assault on one student by another. Under investigation, charges pending.
3:26 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 62 St – Complainant reported a male being aggressive and refusing to leave a business. Member attended, suspect had slammed the door and caused a hole in the wall. Complainant did not want charges, just wanted the male to take his business elsewhere.
9:13 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 48 Ave – Complainant reported that a neighbour has cameras pointing directly at his property. Under investigation.
October 7
1:53 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Members attended a residence on an unrelated matter and determined that the person they were trying to speak with had not been at the residence for a month; an apparent breach of his conditions. Under investigation.
3:13 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Ave – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a pickup observed driving poorly. The driver failed to provide a sample of his breath into the roadside screening device, and as a result was issued a 90 day driving suspension and his truck was impounded.
8:02 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 St – Complainant reported that sometime overnight culprits entered his car and stole his wallet along with birthday presents intended for his son.
October 8
9:14 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Ave – Complainant reported that two acquaintances threw a firecracker at her vehicle, causing minor damage. Member investigated and determined the damage wasn’t permanent. Two male youths were located and warned in the presence of their parents.
October 9
10:58 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Complainant reported a male trespassing. The male allegedly entered a suite via the window and left some items behind. Under investigation.
7:19 p.m. – Parkland County – Hwy 759 – Complainant reported a break-in and theft of copper wire to a lease site near his residence. Member attended and confirmed the report. Site appears to be shut-in and not operational. Under investigation, company involved to be contacted.
7:34 p.m. – Tomahawk – Complainant reported her son was threatening her and other family members. Members attended and found the suspect had left. Members waited until he returned and arrested him on multiple warrants. The male was held for a telephone bail hearing and remanded in custody.
October 10
9:34 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported fraudulent activity on his bank account over the previous weekend. Under investigation.
10:10 a.m. – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reported that on the evening of the 6th a neighbour had threatened to kill his dogs as they had apparently been barking for a couple hours straight. Complainant didn’t know the neighbour or want any follow-up, only wanted to report the incident.
12:04 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported an abandoned bike near a business.
4:32 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a young boy with no pants on running around behind Drayton Christian School. Member attended and retrieved the boy. Suspecting they knew who he was, members called mom and she confirmed he escaped when his diaper was being changed by her friend. Child and mom were quickly reunited after he received a quick tour of the detachment.
8:41 p.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to investigate an assault that was reported to police during an unrelated investigation.
8:54 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Complainant reported an unknown person in a room that should be empty. Members attended and the male was identified. The male was located later and arrested for break and enter and then released to appear in court at a later date.
October 11
2:21 a.m. – Brazeau County – Fairway Meadows – Members were dispatched to a family dispute where a male was reportedly yelling, screaming and punching walls. Members spoke to the male and suggested he leave the residence, which he did. Members could then hear him screaming even louder, while walking up the road. Members then arrested the male for causing a disturbance and lodged him in cells to ponder his choices and possibly sober up. The male was released in the morning, but almost got re-arrested due to threatening comments made in cells.
8:54 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 620/RR 85 -Complainant reported damage to his fence overnight. It appeared one or two vehicles had been involved in a collision, damaging the fence and allowing some of his livestock to escape. Under investigation, no related collision reports so far.
9:36 a.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to assist Edmonton Police in serving Subpoenas. Subpoenas served and Edmonton Police notified.
4:09 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Ave – Complainant reported that overnight his vehicle was entered by someone who threw a cement block through his window. The culprits stole his registration and insurance as well as a power cord from his motorhome. Under investigation.
7:13 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reported a tenant in his apartment building is banging on the walls and making lots of noise. Member spoke to the tenant who reported he was having a bad day because aliens keep breaking in at night and extracting a most valuable fluid from his man parts. Such crimes are outside the investigative abilities of the local detachment, a referral was made to an appropriate agency for follow-up.
October 12
7:08 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Third party report that someone was rummaging through an older Pontiac Sunfire in an apartment parking lot; occurred around 6 am. Member located the vehicle and contacted the owner who was aware and wanted nothing done.
