It provides easy access to Online Crime Reporting, Crime Mapping, Detachment information, Project Lock Up, Crime Stoppers, as well as RCMP news and social media accounts.

March 2
10:27 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Ave – Complainant reported a female squatter had been in her empty residence. Damage done, descriptors provided. Investigation lead to charges against a 30-year-old female.
12:47 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Landfill area – Complainant reported a male lit a mattress on fire near the landfill. Possible suspect identified but the male wasn’t located and no witnesses actually saw the mattress being lit.
10:11 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 St – Complainant reported his car stolen, as per video surveillance the theft occurred about an hour earlier. Video not clear enough to identify a suspect. Parkland RCMP located the car on March 5 and a male was charged for possession of stolen property.
March 3
12:33 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant called from Calgary to report her ex in Drayton Valley had possession of her firearms and was refusing to return them. Members investigated and a search warrant was executed at the ex’s residence. The male was cooperative and all firearms were turned over willingly; the ex claimed that the complainant kept delaying picking up the guns. No charges laid.
10:22 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 58 Ave – Complainant reported several vehicles stunting. Members attended and located the vehicles, all drivers given warnings. Stunting not ongoing at time of traffic stops.
11:44 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22/Hwy 620 – Member on patrol stopped a truck due to the license plate being obstructed. Member issued a MAS demand (mandatory alcohol screening) which resulted in two “caution” results. The driver was issued a 72-hour suspension and the truck was impounded.
March 4
1:34 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 St – Member conducted a check on a female on a Conditional Sentence Order. Member observed a male guest, who was sent home as the female is not allowed guests past 7 pm. Probation Officer advised, charges possible.
1:38 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 St/50 Ave – Member conducted a traffic stop after a license plate check showed the owner had warrants. Male driver arrested on warrants out of Edmonton and held for a hearing. The male was subsequently released on $100 bail.
10:02 a.m. – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 502 – Members attended to assist firefighters with a vehicle on fire. Members unable to contact the owner who subsequently reported the vehicle stolen from where he had parked it in Drayton Valley. Under investigation.
4:12 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Hang-up 911 call received with kids heard in the background. Member attended and located the children who said their dog was jumping and accidentally called 911. And here we thought dogs only ate homework.
March 5
12:20 a.m. – 50 Ave/54 St – Complainant reported upstairs neighbours were being noisy. Members attended and the complainant explained that people were entering his residence and his brain using magic tricks. Referral made to mental health workers. No noise heard from upstairs.
7:05 a.m. – Brazeau County – RR90 – Complainant reported harassing phone call; a male called him making a veiled threat as the complainant had apparently called a female he was involved with. Member spoke to the suspect who said he simply returned a call and hadn’t made any threats. Possibly a result of intoxicated pocket dialing.
9:50 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Members responded to a family dispute at a hotel. Mother and daughter got in an argument/fight and the daughter and her brother took off. Dispute was due to the kids wanting to be taken back to Southern Alberta but mom refusing, stating she didn’t feel safe with them in her car. Mom wanting to leave the two teens in Drayton Valley if they weren’t admitted to hospital. Members attended the hospital with the family and tried to coordinate something with CFS. CFS referral made to their home community.
March 6
12:22 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant requested members check on his wife as he wasn’t home and had heard his son yelling over the phone. Son had been given some bad news and can get violent when upset. Members attended and spoke to all present, it was agreed that everyone would get some sleep and discuss the issues in the morning.
8:11 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 7/11 – Complainant reported his phone stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot. Phone was determined to be at Walmart later in the day. Under investigation.
7:39 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 7/11 – Complainant reported that about a half hour prior, two unidentified males produced a knife and tried to steal his wife’s truck. Unclear what actually occurred, still under investigation. At this time police don’t believe there to be a public safety risk.
March 7
8:20 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 62 St – Complainant reported thousands of dollars of tools missing from his business after he was fired in late January. Member spoke to the complainant who went to pickup his tools and found many missing. Complainant believed there was video surveillance. Member spoke to staff who said there was six hours of video available. Unclear why the complainant left his tools for that length of time. Complainant also provided widely varying values of what was missing.
12:13 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 St/50 Ave – Complainant reported a female acting strange, rubbing garbage all over her body. Members attended and located the female who was in good spirits and said she was collecting bottles and cans. Both this female and a male were also advised they were not welcome on the property as per the property representative.
9:22 p.m. – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge – Complainant reported a suspicious person had been walking on his driveway and scurried off when questioned. Members located a male matching the description provided. He was warned to stay off property of others. He was heading to a friends residence nearby.
March 8
12:18 p.m. – Parkland County – Hwy 624/RR 62 – Complainant reported an abandoned car. Member attended and called the owner who explained it had broken down and that he was arranging for it to be towed.
12:21 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Library – Male who had been banned refusing to leave. Members attended and the male didn’t want to accept the notice or leave. The male subsequently left without incident and is now aware he’s not welcome.
6:00 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported people loitering in the lobby of the library after closing and intimidating staff. Members attended and removed the individuals who were warned that enforcement action could result if the behaviour continued.
March 9
7:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported that a rented 2022 Ram pickup he had possession of was stolen out of his driveway. Theft occurred late afternoon on the 7th. Complainant stated the truck was locked but a key was left inside. Under investigation.
9:14 a.m. – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge – Complainant called to report she was getting messages from her son who said that his brother was throwing his stuff outside and damaging a doorframe. Members attended and determined the brothers had an argument over food ownership.
