Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. January 19
11:17 a.m. – Brazeau County – Township 493 – Police were called to stray bullet going through the complainant’s shop. Members attended and photographed the scene. Complainant unsure where the shot came from and did not see anyone around when it happened. Member conducting neighborhood inquiries to see if anyone witnessed the event.
6:32 p. m.– Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Police called to a male injured outside the bar. Members attended and located a bleeding male. Male highly intoxicated, was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Members investigated the occurrence, no assault occurred, male had fallen down in his intoxicated state which caused the injury.
8:46 p.m. – Brazeau County – Cynthia – Police called to a disturbance and fight that occurred while a roommate was trying to move out. Members attended, victim advised police he was assaulted while trying to move his stuff out of the house. Members spoke to all parties on scene, determined it was not an assault but a consensual fight. Members advised the parties to separate for the night and finish getting his stuff the next day.
January 20
01:46 a.m. – Parkland County – Tomahawk – Members called to check on a property. Complainant reported that he is working away and his ex girlfriend was still living at his house. After a fight on the phone tonight she told him she was going to wreck his vehicle and burn the house down. Members attended, ex girlfriend had calmed down and was packing her stuff. She advised she would not damage anything. Complainant did not want uttering threats charges laid.
02:55 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Township 502 – Police called to a break and enter in progress at a Sinopec lease site. Police attended an located the vehicle seen on surveillance leaving the area. Traffic stop initiated on the vehicle and the two males inside were arrested and charged with break and enter.
10:07 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Court – Police called to a report of assault with a weapon. Members attended and spoke with the victim who had just been bear maced by another female. Members took statements from the victim and witnesses. Attacking female located, arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
10:50 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Curfew check done by police on a prolific offender who is serving her sentence in the community. Offender not home. Offender charged with breaching the conditions of her conditional sentence order, held for a judicial release hearing and was released by the courts back into the community.
January 21
10:20 a.m. – Brazeau County – Cynthia – Police requested to assist in keeping the peace while the complainant retrieved the last of his belongings. File related to previous file where a fight occurred during the move out. Members attended and ensured all was calm while the complainant retrieved the last of their stuff.
11:54 p.m. – Brazeau County – Township 514 – Police called to youth overdose on marihuana. Members met the youth at the Drayton Valley Hospital. Youth receiving care hospital, cannabis had been taken with friends. All parents notified of the cannabis use by their youth and left in their hands to deal with.
January 22
3:55 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – 911 missing child reported to police. Parents called police as their 6-year-old had gotten off the bus and she couldn’t find him. Members had just began searching when they received an update that the child had come home, had just taken a different route home from the bus.
4:09 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Police called to Evergreen School as an unwanted male is trying to come in and use the Wi-Fi and will not leave. Members attended and located a known homeless male. Male advised he needed to listen to staff and leave the property.
January 24
09:25 a.m. – Brazeau County – Township 493 – Report received of a fraud. Complainant reported meeting a boyfriend online. Over the course of their relationship she sent $55,000. Intimate images were also sent and the scammer is now demanding more money or they will release the images. Members investigating.
10:20 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – While on patrol police noted a suspicious vehicle driving in an alley without it’s lights on. Traffic stop initiated, alcohol detected. Roadside breath sample obtained and driver registered a fail. Driver charged for impaired driving under the provincial sanctions. Driver was also found to be on warrant and was arrested for his outstanding warrant.
January 25
11:41 a.m. – Brazeau County – Range Road 91 – Call received of cattle out on a RR. Caller advised police whose cattle they were but advised he did not want to tell him, he wanted police to do it. Member got a hold of the cattle owner and he had already realized they were out and had rustled them back into their corral.
6:35 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Police received a call about the Shelter Pods. Complainant advised her sister-in-law had messaged her stating she was homeless and had no where to go as the Shelter Pods were full. Members explained that the shelter pods do not open until 8 p.m.
8:09 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Call for trucks stunting around Holy Trinity Academy in Drayton Valley. Members attended but no one was stunting at the time, and no truck descriptions provided. Upon calling complainant, he was heavily intoxicated and just wanted to vent his frustrations with the gosh darn youth ripping around in their “oil-rich parent’s trucks”. Member listened attentively to his sorrows and told him police would make proactive patrols.
