Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. It provides easy access to Online Crime Reporting, Crime Mapping, Detachment information, Project Lock Up, Crime Stoppers, as well as RCMP news and social media accounts.
Surveillance Camera Registry – If you have a surveillance system at your home or business, you can register it with the Drayton Valley RCMP to help officers identify locations that may have valuable evidence to aid in investigations. November 10
9:46 a.m. – Brazeau County – RR 83 – Police dispatched to a suspicious vehicle complaint. A blue Ford F350 was blocking part of the road. Members attended, the truck was stolen from Stony Plain that morning. No one around the truck. Truck held for forensic examination.
8:54 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reported a hit and run while at a local Inn. Members attended and reviewed surveillance. Complainant’s car hit by a truck. Investigation continuing.
November 11
11:25 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Facebook Market Place fraud reported to police. Complainant reported they had purchased some items off Facebook Market Place. Once they sent the money they were given an address to pick up the items, but the house was empty. Investigation continuing.
10:56 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Fas Gas – Complaint received of an extremely intoxicated male at Fas Gas. Members attended and located the male. Male was extremely intoxicated, he was angry and confused and slurring his speech. Members arrested the male for public intoxication and provided him a place to sleep for the night.
November 12
1:50 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Report received of an assault. Investigation continuing.
3:20 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Police received a call from an angry spouse reporting that her husband had taken her car and had been drinking. Complainant was concerned for her husbands and everyone else’s safety. Members went looking for the vehicle. While patrolling for the vehicle, the husband returned home. Members returned to the residence and warned him about driving while drinking.
7:50 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complaint received of a theft of vehicle documents. Members investigating.
November 13
6:03 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Police called about a male who had entered the complainant’s garage. Male was confronted by the complainant’s husband, was polite and provided his name. Male then departed prior to police arrival. Members to follow up with the suspect.
November 14
2:01 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report received of teenage boys driving past Holy Trinity High School yelling deplorable insults toward two female students. Plate obtained by the teacher who witnessed the event. Teenage boys tracked down and spoken to about their behaviour. Written apologies made by the boy’s.
4:14 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 63 Street – Complaint received of a theft of a tractor trailer. Investigation continuing.
November 15
5:12 p.m. – Brazeau County – Fairway Meadow – Members received a call about a male recently arrested and charged breaching his conditions by being at his mother’s residence. Members attended, male attempted to run away from police but was caught in a snowbank by the fleet footed members. Male arrested and charged with breaching his court conditions.
November 16
8:54 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Break and enter to a shop reported. Members attended, shop door pried open and hand tools stolen. Investigation is continuing.
5:19 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Highway 22 – Police were called to a possible impaired driver, driving in the ditch and then doing donuts in the neighbor’s yard. Members attended, suspect driver was now at home. Suspect was highly intoxicated and on conditions to not drink and provide a breath sample to police. Suspect refused to provide a breath sample. Suspect charged with breaching his court conditions.
5:50 p.m.– Brazeau County – Police received a call about a break in to a lease site. A unknown truck was on one of their sites. Members attended, but the truck had already left.
7:31 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Police received a call about an assault on a minor. Investigation is continuing.
