In an attempt to get residents into the Halloween spirit a week early, Can -Vac will be hosting a haunted house on Thursday, Oct.20, Friday, Oct. 21, and Saturday, Oct.22.
On both Thursday and Friday, the events start at 1 p.m. with the kid friendly portion of the event running until 4:00, followed by the actual haunted house that runs from 6-10 p.m.. However, on Saturday, the kid friendly event runs from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with the actual haunted house still running from 6-10 p.m..
Lori Noble, Office Manager at the Can-Vac office says they are hoping for a lot of screams and scares.
“We are just down here busy building to hopefully increase the scares, have that hair standing up on the back of your neck and just hope everyone comes and enjoys it,” she exclaims.
The haunted house will be located at 5209 62 Street, with a minimum of a $2 entry fee with all donations going to local charities, including Santa’s Anonymous, Cause for Critters and Stockings for Seniors.
Noble says they hope to raise more money than they did the previous Halloween.
“We are looking to top what we did last year. We raised over $12,000 last year. It goes to the three local charities, charities of people’s choice and we are hoping to hopefully top that this year again,” states Noble.
