Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. It provides easy access to Online Crime Reporting, Crime Mapping, Detachment information, Project Lock Up, Crime Stoppers, as well as RCMP news and social media accounts.
Surveillance Camera Registry – If you have a surveillance system at your home or business, you can register it with the Drayton Valley RCMP to help officers identify locations that may have valuable evidence to aid in investigations. September 29
11:44 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Pleasantview Trailer court – Report of an unwanted male living in mobile home in which all occupants were evicted. Male is living in a shed in the back of the property. Member attended. Advised complainant to board up all entry points.
7:37 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of suspicious activity. Individuals were at Kal Tire and complainant believes they are attempting to break into the place. Female crawled under the fence and got a ladder. Two males were out in front of the store. Members attended and located three contractors who were finishing painting. Assistant manager confirmed this.
September 30
9:57 a.m. – Brazeau County – Report received of a stolen quad. Quad is a green early 90’s Honda and was stolen from a trap line. Gun rack is welded onto the front of the quad. Matter is still under investigation.
10:57 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report received of a female sleeping in the lobby of the post office. Member attended and located known female who was wanted on outstanding warrants. Female arrested and released and advised to move on.
October 1
2:14 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Report received of a suspicious quad. Individual on quad is entering peoples properties. Members attended and located a dark coloured quad, traffic stop initiated, quad took off at a high rate of speed into a field.
9:05 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 58 Avenue – Complainant reporting they delivered a pizza to some homeless individuals in the woods and while there heard several loud pop noises. Member attended and spoke with individual at the camp who advised they had not heard anything. No signs of any firearm activity or any disturbance.
October 2
12:30 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 624 – Report received of a suspicious male in a white cargo moving truck. Member attended, driver refused to provide any information, altercation ensued. Vehicle stolen in 2021. One male arrested and charged with numerous offences.
6:32 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Request to assist EMS with an intoxicated male. Male had fallen out of a golf cart. Members attended and spoke with all parties. Male was being aggressive towards EMS personnel. Male assessed by EMS and released.
6:38 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Report of two suspicious males going into a hedge. First male is tall, wearing a black baseball cap and the second shorter wearing a hoodie with a logo on the back. Members attended and located known males. Males advised they were picking berries from the bush while waiting for a friend to pick them up.
October 3
2:46 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant attended the front counter to report a vehicle hit their vehicle while parked. The vehicle turned off and fled the scene. Suspect vehicle is a black Chevrolet truck. Registered Owner contacted and came in to provide a statement.
8:05 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of several youth shooting off fireworks in the parking lot. Members attended and spoke to the group of youth who denied having fireworks. Members advised youth to leave the area and further advised that fireworks were not permitted.
October 4
11:40 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant reporting they found a very small child wandering around the Shangri la Lodge. Prior to police arrival, individual who had been taking care of child attended and took child home.
October 5
8:52 a.m. – Brazeau County – Report received of an attempted break, enter and theft from the Brazeau County office. Sometime overnight an individual made their way into the fenced compound and removed a drill from a vehicle. Drill located a short distance away.
9:37 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 48 Avenue – Complainant reporting an individual shot out their back window of door with a BB gun.
8:35 p.m. – Tomahawk – Report received of an assault. Members attended and located both individuals. Male arrested for assault.
