July 28
9:43 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Report of theft of flower pot. Known female came onto property and stole flower pot then smashed it. Female had been observed roaming around and causing issues at other properties that morning. Member located female who was arrested for mischief. Female released later when sober.
2:50 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Report of known female trying to open complainants door, then attempting to enter residence through basement window. Same female who had been arrested earlier. No entry gained. Members attended and located female who was once again arrested and held.
4:17 p.m. – Parkland County – Members received call regarding harassment. Ongoing issue with comments being made via Facebook. Both parties advised to limit contact with each other. Civil matter. Both provided information regarding obtaining a restraining order.
8:20 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 759 – Report of two unoccupied kayaks on the river. Members patrolled and requested fire department assistance. Kayakers were located.
9:20 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Report received of a fight in progress by Carleton East Apartments. Two males were arguing and one was holding a screwdriver. Members attended, parties had separated prior to arrival and left the area.
9:34 p.m. – Brazeau County – Report of an erratic driver in a Chevrolet pickup truck. Vehicle is all over the road, in the ditch and speeding. Complainant followed the vehicle to the OCT where they confronted the driver and a yelling match ensued. Driver then got back into their truck and sped off. Members located vehicle and a traffic stop was initiated. Driver issued a violation ticket.
July 29
2:18 a.m. – Drayton Valley – McDonalds parking lot – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
3:23 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report received from individual stating that they had been hit by some BB gun pellets as a vehicle drove by. Matter is still under investigation.
9:32 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 753 – Complainant reporting they were travelling south on Hwy 753 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle. No injuries, but suspect deer, Bucky, died at the scene.
11:02 a.m, – Clearwater County – Report received of break and enter to lease site. Ground cables had been cut.
1:42 p.m. – Buck Creek – Report received of a lost or stolen licence plate.
4:31 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Hit and run reported. Red Dodge van had been parked in the Wal Mart parking lot. When the owner returned to the vehicle they observed damage to their 2002 Dodge Caravan.
5:53 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Report received of a dispute. Two individuals arguing and complainant can hear things being thrown and breaking. Members attended and spoke with both parties who were uncooperative and refused to provide any statements. One party arrested on outstanding warrants.
6:19 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of an erratic driver in a red GMC Sierra. Vehicle had cut complainant off at intersection. Complainant followed the vehicle and when stopped confronted driver. Both started yelling at each other. Members attended and spoke with both drivers. Both warned about their driving behaviour.
7:40 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued violation tickets for no registration and no insurance. Vehicle towed.
11:36 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Request to assist EMS with a female. Members attended and located a male who was wanted on outstanding warrants. During search of male, a folding knife was located. Male is on conditions for no weapons. Male charged with possession of weapon for dangerous purpose.
July 30
2:11 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a bow and arrow found in a shopping cart in the parking lot. Member attended and seized bow and arrows.
8:47 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing individual on their cell phone. Driver issued a violation ticket for distracted driving and for no drivers licence.
July 31
4:23 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Individual calling to report an assault which had occurred several hours ago. Known male had punched complainant. Members attended, complainant not there. Witnesses advised that complainant had entered the room and began swearing and causing trouble. Known male had punched complainant. Complainant admitted to causing issues.
9:53 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of an unwanted female. Female has been banned from property. Member attended and spoke with female and advised her she is not allowed at the location. Female arrested on outstanding warrant. Female left on own.
11:28 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report of suspicious activity. Surveillance showed known female kicking doors and windows after being removed from Coach Motel. Members attended and located female who was subsequently arrested for public intoxication and mischief. Released when sober.
August 1
6:58 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of an attempted theft of truck. 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 had passenger window broken and significant damage to steering column.
9:50 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of theft of scaffolding outside of Bank of Montreal. Scaffolding is blue with black lines.
11:29 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Another report of known female in back alley near residence. Female appears to be checking handles on vehicles. Member attended and once again, female spoken to.
12:37 p.m.– Drayton Valley – Jubilee Avenue – Report received of known female wandering around motel yelling and kicking doors, pulled the fire alarm. Members attended and located female who was arrested for mischief and held for bail hearing. Female remanded.
4:43 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Aquatic Center – Report of a break and enter to new Aquatic Centre site. Occurred sometime over the weekend. Members attended and spoke with property rep who advised it did not appear anything was taken. No entry to building gained.
7:06 p.m. – Brazeau Dam – Second report of black Jeep Compass, hit power pole near dam. Two intoxicated females. Red Dodge minivan had stopped and picked up females.
10:12 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a two vehicle collision on Hwy 22 and 50 street. One vehicle is blocking the road. Members attended and spoke with both drivers. Both drivers were given roadside tests. One party blew fail and was charged with impaired operation, provincial sanctions. No injuries.
August 2
12:39 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Report of a disturbance received. Known female is banging on complainants door and trying to open it. Female was also trying to open vehicle doors and banging on vehicle windows, turning on exterior water faucets. Members had recently released female. Members attended and once again arrested female for mischief and held for bail hearing. Female remanded.
8:43 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a driver on their cell phone. Driver issued a violation ticket for distracted driving.
9:10 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Center Blvd. – Report received of a theft of heavy haul boosters from yard.
3:34 p.m. – Drayton Valley- Report received of a fraud. Individual had paid a contractor money to have some work done. Money was taken but no work done. Complainant cannot get ahold of individual. Company was Prestine Renovations. Second complaint received regarding this company. Matter is under investigation.
5:35 p.m. – Tomahawk – Complainant attended the detachment to report a random individual had sent them a snapchat requesting them to purchase gift cards and in exchange they would give complainant double the cash. Complainant sent them the gift cards and received fake cheques in return. Matter is under investigation. Individuals are reminded that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Numerous individuals are falling victim to schemes such as these. Don’t become another victim.
August 3
7:57 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Aquatic Centre – Report of a break and enter overnight to office trailer at construction site. Desk top and iPad stolen. No damage to building. Matter is under investigation.
3:24 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Report of a break and enter to residence. Residence is in foreclosure and back door had been kicked in. Occurred approximately one month ago. Member attended and residence cleared. Neighbours had noticed the door open a few weeks ago, however did not call police. No signs of occupancy and nothing left behind.
3:40 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Request from Edmonton Police Service to attend residence for the purpose of executing outstanding warrants.
10:38 p.m. – Drayton Valley – MacKenzie Avenue – request to assist fire at a residence. Back deck was on fire. Fire department attended.
