Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. February 10
8:20 am – Brazeau County – Scam phone call received where personal information was provided. Referred to anti-fraud centre and to contact credit monitoring companies.
9:50 am – Brazeau County – Report of inappropriate content on a Facebook page. Reported to Facebook, investigation ongoing.
9:51 am – Brazeau County – RR 80 – Orange Pontiac Sunfire illegally dumped garbage on private property, occurred night before at approximately 9:43 pm.
11:38 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Back window of a vehicle damage, unknown if it was done intentionally or debris from a passing vehicle.
12:28 pm – Yellowhead County – Hwy 753 – Single vehicle collision, no injuries.
12:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Call reporting COVID isolation concerns. Police spoke with all parties, no offence.
1:14 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Report of a B&E to a residence. Police arrived and found that there was no break-in and that the 2 “suspects” had been invited in but now the home owner didn’t want them there anymore so called police. They had left prior to police attendance.
4:45 pm – Drayton Valley – Mackenzie Ave – Landlord/tenant dispute. Police spoke with involved parties, referred to the Landlord/Tenant board.
4:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Homeless person impeding traffic. Police attended, nobody was found in the area or impeding traffic.
6:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Complaint of 3 people doing drugs in a vestibule. Police attended, nobody was there.
7:30 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Residential panic alarm, police attended, no emergency, alarm had been set off accidentally.
February 11
7:37 am – Drayton Valley – report of a breach of conditions. Male charged after they hit the complainant’s vehicle.
8:16 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Report of an abandoned vehicle in the parking lot. Vehicle had been there for approximately 3 days. Members attended, vehicle not stolen. Registered owner contacted and is aware.
10:41 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – report of a suspicious person. Female in black. Complainant confronted female as they were about to ring the doorbell. Female left. No offence.
1:05 pm – Brazeau County – Report of a child custody dispute. Ex is upset that they are unable to see their child. Member spoke with both parties. Custody issue ha been prearranged and forgotten by complainant.
2:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of threats and breach of conditions. Complainant wished caller to be spoken to.
3:47 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Report received of an erratic driver in a white Ford F150. Vehicle blew through a stop sign and cut off complainant. Member attended residence of offending driver and provided a warning regarding their manner of driving.
4:38 pm – Brazeau County – Report of an erratic driver in a grey Ford escape. Vehicle is driving on the shoulder and turning lanes.
4:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Report of a possible abandoned child on the road. Members attempted to locate child. No further calls were received. Likely child was going home.
7:09 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of a family dispute. Verbal argument. Parties separated for the night.
February 12
10:23 am – Brazeau County – Request for members to attend to keep the peace while individual gathers belongings.
2:14 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a hit and run while parked in the parking lot of Home Hardware.
6:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – complainant reporting they sold their vehicle and left their plate on it. Now neither party wants to travel to get or give the plate. New owner advised to drop off the plate at the registries office. Previous owner advised to cancel the plate and obtain a new one.
9:39 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of an unwanted male. Members attended, male was intoxicated, no offence, extensive history of asking members to attend to remove male. Ongoing issue.
11:25 pm – Drayton Valley – suspicious activity in the parking lot of a hotel. Female had been observed crying in a vehicle. Members attended and located female who advised they were having a bad night.
February 13
2:05 am – Drayton Valley – Report of a possible impaired driver received. Truck was all over the road. Truck was a company truck. Members conducted patrols, however vehicle not located.
3:10 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol observed a Black dodge Ram truck in a parking lot with a flat tire. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was likely stolen. Vehicle towed.
11:22 am – Lodgepole – Report of a Dog attack. Complainant advised that their dog had been attacked by a neighbour’s dog. No injuries to dog. Animal control called.
1:20 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of missing female. Members located female who was fine. Phone had broken
4:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of custody issue. One party does not feel they can see the child often enough. Advised to contact their lawyers.
4:27 pm – Drayton Valley – report of a shoplifter. Female with dyed short black hair wearing a black jacket and blue jeans and work boots entered the store and bought one pair of shoes, however placed a second pair in their bag and left.
6:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Report of threats via text. Member attended and spoke with complainant, statement taken. Matter is still under Investigation.
9:44 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of a missing male. Employer advised they hadn’t heard from male for approximately 2 hours after they were having mechanical issues. Members attended location, male not there, Male later located wandering on another property. Male given a courtesy ride to the detachment where he was released when sober.
February 14
1:12 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of an assault at one of the hotels in town. Two intoxicated individuals had gotten into an argument about the closing time of businesses. One party punched the other. Victim did not with to proceed with charges.
8:26 AM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report from employees at the TD Bank of a male sleeping in the vestibule, blocking their path. Members attended and spoke with known male who agreed to leave.
8:38 am – Brazeau County – Report of theft of mail. Mailboxes had been broken into, pried open sometime overnight. Member attended, all boxes open, however only one had sustained damage. Canada Post advised.
10:16 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of an unwanted high female at tobacco land. Member attended and located female who was arrested on outstanding warrants
10:29 am – Industrial road – request for a wellbeing check on family member. Member advised that family member was fine and in good hands.
12:03 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of a two vehicle collision. Complainant advised that they were parked when another individual backed into their vehicle.
12:17 pm – Drayton Valley – Madsen Avenue – Report of a suspicious vehicle that appeared to be scoping out places and other vehicles. Vehicle described as an older model Brown/Red Cadillac .Member attended and patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
5:01 PM – Drayton Valley – 44A Avenue – Report received that ex is refusing to give daughter back. Member contacted both parties and advised that the court order must be abided by.
5:42 pm – Brazeau County – Rr 80 – Report of an abandoned vehicle. Member attended, vehicle stolen from Wetaskiwin area. Registered owner advised.
8:52 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of youth stealing pylons from gas station. Members attended area, pylons recovered, youth not identified.
February 15
10:18 am – Brazeau County – Report of a theft from an Obsidian Energy oilfield building overnight.
10:20 am – Brazeau County – Report of a theft of cable from an Obsidian energy oilfield site. Compressor cables cut and removed form the site.
12:07 pm – Lodgepole – Report of suspicious activity for the last 3 days at a residence in Lodgepole. It is suspect that squatters are staying in a residence that is supposed to be empty. Property rep contacted who advised they would take action in securing and condemning the structure.
1:10 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a structure fire in Drayton Valley. Fire attended and put out the fire. Minimal damage to the structure and no risk to neighboring structures. Fire determined to not be suspicious.
3:24pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint of a suspicious activity at the mailboxes in Lions Park. A male using a key was attempting to open all the boxes, until he eventually opened one. Members followed up with the owner of the box that was opened, determined that it was the owner’s son getting her mail, he just did not know which one was hers.
3:28 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a motor vehicle collision. Complainant advised while backing near his garage his vehicle slid on the ice and struck his own garage. Damage sticker provided.
4:07 pm – Parkland County – Complainant report that there was a dead sheep in the ditch just south of Twp 504. Complainant wants somebody to come and take the dead sheep away. Complainant contacted and advised RCMP do not do sheep removal.
5:13 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant called police reporting he had found a license plate and wanted to know if the license plate was registered to him. Members ran the plate and advised it is registered to his son.
6:30 pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of mischief to a vehicle parked at the Home Away Inn overnight. Members attended and watched video surveillance, no one approached the vehicle overnight, damage determined to have happened some other time.
8:02 pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of a break and enter at the Royal Suites. Manager advised someone had gained access to a storage room. Police attended and obtained video surveillance. Investigation is continuing.
February 16
8:30 am – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Report of a disturbance at the Drayton Valley Hospital. A relative of one of the patients is causing issues. Members attended, upon arrival, individual had left. Members located individual shortly after who advised they were just concerned over their family member
8:53 am – Yellowhead County – Report of a single vehicle accident in which a person was driving on snow covered roads and hit an icy patch which put them into the ditch. No injuries.
10:02 am – Drayton Valley – 40 Street – Report of a receipt of harassing text messages. Matter is still under investigation.
11:12 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – member on patrol observed a vehicle in which the driver was not wearing their seatbelt. Member conducted a traffic stop and driver was issued a violation ticket.
12:31 pm – Drayton Valley – Brougham Drive – Report of an underage youth going through ashtrays at a hotel. Youth was dumping the cigarette butts on the ground. Members attended location and patrolled the area, youth not located.
1:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of threats received. Members spoke with all parties involved. Two youth are involved and arguing over a female. Concerns from both sides regarding the other.
1:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 street – Member on patrol observed a vehicle go through a traffic control device without stopping. Member initiated a traffic stop and driver issued a violation ticket
1:56 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road. Members attended location, vehicle was gone upon arrival. Member did follow some tracks from the vehicle which led to an abandoned lease site. Known male located.
2:40 pm – Drayton Valley – Suspicious call received from an unknown female complainant.
2:42 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Report received of an erratic driver in a Black SUV. Vehicle had been speeding and passing vehicles unsafely. Member patrolled the area, however not located. Neighbouring detachment notified.
4:15 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Avenue – 911 hangup received. Only dial tone on call back. Member attended and spoke to individual on site, who advised they had made an error when calling out.
5:24 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Information received of an unwanted male who was wanted out of Rocky Mountain House. Members attended and male arrested without incident. Male held for a bail hearing.
9:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Members on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle which had previously hit a vehicle and fled the scene. Driver issued a driving suspension for impaired driving. Vehicle seized for 30 days.
11:58 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of an attempted theft of vehicle in progress. 2 males attempting to break into a U haul truck with a coat hangar. Members attended and located males. Males had locked themselves out of vehicle. All paperwork confirmed.
February 17
12:01 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – complainant advised that their vehicle had been involved in a hit and run. Complainant advised that they had left for work in the morning and when they returned, there was damage to the front end of their vehicle.
