Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. January 27
7:25 am – Drayton Valley – Report of Blue 2019 dodge ram Truck stolen in the early morning hours.
9:04 am – Drayton Valley – Report of damage to ticket dispenser at car wash. Complainant advised that they had attended a car wash in Drayton Valley and their vehicle hit ice and slid into the ticket dispenser causing damage.
9:14 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – report of motor vehicle collision. Complainant was pulling into a parking stall with their vehicle when they hit a concrete post.
9:39 am – Brazeau County – RR 64 – request for Drayton Valley members to serve a Subpoena for Beaumont RCMP.
11:12 am – Brazeau County – Rr 81 – Report of a fraud ongoing for approximately 1 year. Parcel had arrived from overseas via Airquick Express Company. Complainant had dealt with numerous individuals regarding the package and had given them approximately $30,000. The director has taken over and continually extorts money from complainant. Matter is still under investigation.
12:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report of a makeshift shelter in front of shed at apartment building. Member attended and no one inside shelter.
1:08 pm – Drayton Valley – Report from Loss Prevention officer regarding a group of children around 15 years old being disruptive in store. Youth were destroying items. Member attended, photos of youth received.
2:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing individual on their cell phone. Driver issued a violation ticket.
2:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant reporting they and their dog was attacked by a pit bull. Dog suffered injuries. Other dog was not on a leash. Member attended and located owner of pit bull. Matter turned over to animal control.
4:25 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for having an open package of cannabis within reach of driver. Amount of cannabis seized exceeded amount allowed.
4:36 pm – Brazeau County – report of an erratic and aggressive transport truck driver who almost caused several collisions. Vehicle was passing on double solid lines. Member patrolled the area and located vehicle in question. Driver issued several violation tickets.
6:48 pm – Brazeau County – RR 51 – Report of several unknown trucks in area. Suspicious activity with equipment in the field. Member attended and located Telus employees fixing phone cable issues.
7:27 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Report of abandoned vehicle on roadway. Not impeding traffic. Vehicle is a light colour SUV. Member was aware of vehicle. Registered owner had been given 72 hours to remove.
January 28
12:32 am – Clearwater County – Call received from intoxicated individual. Members attended, male arrested for outstanding warrants.
6:14 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a residential panic alarm received. Alarm company cancelled prior to member attending.
6:50 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Request to remove female. Female has been siting at back door for past 20 minutes. Members attended and provided a courtesy ride to warming center.
8:00 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – another report regarding the abandoned vehicle still on the highway. Owner advised it would be moved by 4 pm.
9:04 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial road – Report of a collision received. Vehicle had been backed into by Purolator truck.
10:39 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report that driver was stopped at 4 way stop when another vehicle slid into their rear end. No injuries.
10:57 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting they discovered a dent in their rear bumper on the driver’s side of their 2014 Grey Equinox. Unknown where this occurred.
11:03 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of female being aggressive to staff at warming center. Members attended, female taken to hospital as not feeling well. Hospital staff advised that female had been banned from hospital.
11:20 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Report of dispute between family members. Complainant had been assaulted by sister in law. Member attended location, complainant had left. Complaint unfounded, other party had been asked to leave apartment. Members provided a ride to another location.
12:54 pm – Brazeau County – Request for a wellness check on family member. Member attended.
1:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – report of a dispute. Known individuals are trying to get into residence. Member attended and observed a male waling away. Male identified as one of the individuals. Neither individual is welcome at residence.
2:13 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Report of child running away from school while waiting for parents to attend. Member attended, referral made to school resource officer.
2:52 pm – Drayton Valley – Request received from Regina Police service to obtain a statement.
3:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – request to assist county peace officer with execution of warrant.
4:44 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a possible intoxicated driver in a black truck. Vehicle is speeding and swerving all over the road. Members patrolled area and located vehicle. Driver not intoxicated but had been attempting to grab something form the back seat.
6:26 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Request members conduct a wellbeing check on individual who is near the dumpster by the hotel. Members attended and located known male sleeping in the snow. Male got up and departed on bicycle.
7:45 pm – Brazeau County – report of known wanted male in area. Members attended and arrested male for previous assault.
8:24 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of unwanted individuals at the Scotia Bank and Royal Bank. Members attended and located known male and female who were requested to leave. Individuals left without issue.
8:50 pm – Parkland County – Report of a 911 hang-up. Dispute between two individuals. Members attended to assist Evansburg members.
11:18 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 avenue – Report of a dispute. Ex showed up and is attempting to get into residence. Members patrolled the area, male not located.
January 29
1:23 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of a theft of truck in progress. Members were in area and located vehicle. Owner had lost keys and was attempting to get into truck.
1:46 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Request for a wellness check on individual. Member was able to locate individual who was fine.
12:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Street – Report of hit and run. Occurred while parked in the parking lot of White Bull Café. Damage to Blue 2017 Chevrolet Traverse.
3:43 pm – Drayton Valley – Fourth party report of a dispute. Members attended, no dispute.
4:23 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of unwanted text messages. Member contacted writer of messages and provided a warning and advised them to stop.
7:19 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Report of an abandoned vehicle in the middle of the highway. Vehicle is a white 1990 GMC Sierra. Attempts to contact Registered Owner unsuccessful. Vehicle towed.
7:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued violation ticket for transporting open cannabis within reach of driver.
9:04 pm – Brazeau County – Request for assistance in retrieving dogs. Members attended, owner had asked complainant to get dogs as they were unable to get home.
January 30
4:22 AM – Brazeau County – Report of a suspicious vehicle behind hay bales with no lights. Members attended, vehicle located. Vehicle and driver had been involved in a car jacking in Edmonton. Suspect arrested.
8:56 am – Brazeau County – Report of ex breaching Emergency Protection Order by texting complainant the previous night. Complainant wants charges. Ex not located.
9:46 am – Brazeau County – Report of harassing communications between landlord and tenant. Voicemail had been left advising they had 12 hours to get out of property. Member advised landlord to work something out with tenants.
7:31 pm – Drayton Valley – report of a possible impaired driver. Vehicle located at Ramada Inn, however driver not located. Member contacted registered owner and provided a warning regarding the penalties for impaired driving.
8:12 pm – Drayton Valley – report of intoxicated driver in an old dirty Ford Truck with a damaged topper. Member patrolled the area, no vehicle matching description located.
8:59 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a missing person. Spouse had been driving to Calgary and complainant had not heard from them. Member contacted complainant who advised they had received a text message from spouse. Everything is fine.
9:01 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of an assault. Members attended, both parties staying at a hotel, victim did not wish charges, however wanted the other spoken to. Members attended room and spoke with offending party.
11:04 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no insurance. Warning issued for no registration.
January 31
8:26 am – Drayton Valley – Custody dispute. One parent advising that daughter is refusing to comply with custody order. Daughter had not attended school that day. Member received copy of custody order. No breach occurred.
10:03 am – Brazeau County – Request for members to check on welfare of animals at residence. Member attended residence. Dog was fine, no issues
10:04 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Complainant reporting they were travelling on the highway when a deer ran out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
11:43 am – Tomahawk – Report of a suspicious vehicle. Member attended location, and spoke with individual who advised that the vehicle is a work truck that had broken down. Rental company is supposed to tow the vehicle.
12:15 pm – Cynthia – Report of two males behind property. Males ran off leaving some hunting gear behind. Members seized hunting gear.
12:26 pm – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22 – Report of a two vehicle collision. One party was sitting at the lights on Hwy 22 and another vehicle collided with them.
3:35 pm – Drayton Valley – 41 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
5:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting they met a female on line. Female is attempting to extort money from complainant. Member advised to block account and contact Facebook.
5:11 pm – Drayton Valley – 47A Avenue – Report received of a dangerous dog. Dog is very aggressive. Report received from veterinarian who advised they had to muzzle dog.
6:41 pm – Brazeau County – RR 81 – Report received of an assault. Matter is still under investigation.
February 1
2:26 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for driving while suspended.
7:45 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 759 – Report received of a silver Jetta in the ditch near Cynthia. Member attended and contacted registered owner who advised they had gone into the ditch the previous night. No injuries, Owner was making arrangements to have vehicle towed from ditch.
9:20 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of an aggressive customer at the bank. Known male is attempting to obtain new debit card, however he had no identification. Male had left prior to member arrival.
10:55 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – several reports of an injured deer on the highway received. Member attended area and spoke with fish and wildlife officer who advised the deer was fine and had hopped the fence.
12:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a 2 vehicle collision, no injuries. Collision minor in nature.
1:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Member requested to assist bailiff with eviction. Tenants had been issued a sworn eviction notice. Tenants eventually left residence.
1:33 pm – Brazeau County – Rr 91 – Report of unwanted male. Known male had come onto property and there are conditions for them not to be there. Male arrested for breach and released.
3:07 pm – Violet Grove – Request for members assistance in obtaining belongings. Arrangements were made.
4:23 pm – Drayton Valley – Request for members to attend and keep the peace during an eviction.
4:37 pm – Brazeau County – Report of a suspicious vehicle parked on a lease site.
4:41 pm – violet Grove – Custody dispute. One party was at location to exchange child, other party didn’t show up.
9:23 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a white ford extended cab truck and a green Chevrolet extended cab truck stunting in the parking lot. Member patrolled area, vehicles not located.
9:54 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Request for members to conduct a wellbeing check on individual. Members attended residence, occupant was fine.
February 2
6:45 am – Drayton Valley – Complaint regarding ongoing custody issues. CFS and lawyers involved, nothing criminal.
7:59 am – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge – Fraud complaint, minimal information provided to police.
11:21 am – Drayton Valley – Request from Edmonton Police Service to serve a subpoena.
12:20 pm – Drayton Valley – Power Centre Blvd – Hit and run collision in a parking lot. At approximately 9:30 am, an unknown vehicle struck a parked grey Chevrolet Traverse and left the scene.
2:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Drayton Valley Peace Officer reported theft of copper wire from a power line sometime overnight. Police attended and seized some items left behind by the suspect(s).
2:44 pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint of a fraud, complainant received a fake cheque from an online company and instructed to purchase Apple gift cards. When the bank advised the complainant the cheque was not real, they reported to police. No money was lost.
4:36 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Request to keep the peace during an eviction, when police arrived, the matter was already resolved.
6:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Attempted theft of a license plate. Suspect approached the back of the complainant’s trailer, but the complainant scared them off before they could take anything.
February 3
12:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Fire Dept requested police to an apartment building. A pipe had burst in an unoccupied 3rd floor apartment and leaked through the next two floors causing sections of the floor/ceiling to collapse between. No injuries were reported.
