1:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 St – Complainant requested members check on a male seen on his knees on the roadway, about 15 minutes prior. Male believed to be a local homeless person. Member attended, male not located
2:31 pm – Drayton Valley – Willey West – Complainant attended to report his parked vehicle hit. Other party known and will report
2:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 43A St – Complainant reported a suitcase with property inside was stolen while she was at a family members residence. Suitcase had been by a trailer that was being packed. Under investigation
2:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported calling an AC technician to his business. Technician determined the AC unit coils had been intentionally damaged with a knife. Under investigation
3:01 pm – Parkland County – Hwy 22/Twp Rd 512 – Complainant reported a vehicle was slowing down and a passenger jumped out. Complainant spoke to the passenger who said he was fine and declined a ride; driver apparently father who said youth was high and “had problems.” Members attended but the car and persons involved were gone. No plate obtained for the car. Second call received from a different complainant but similar details.
3:27 pm – Brazeau County – File opened to investigate ongoing harassment of a County employee by a known female. Under investigation
4:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Ave – Complainant reported his daughter was threatened by a half sister, he is concerned about a pending custody exchange. Parties spoken to and CFS consulted. Advice given, custody exchange occurred
4:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 50A St – Request to assist towing company with identifying a male wanting to recover belongings from a vehicle. Prior to member attending a company operator was able to confirm the male’s id.
8:48 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant requested assistance in locating her husband and daughter who were overdue from taking a horse to an equine Chiropractor in Drayton Valley. Member was able to reach the husband and determine his phone had died. No issues
11:09 pm – Parkland County – Hwy 624 – Complainant reported a dead moose on the highway. Member attended and moved the moose off the road
August 6
8:19 am – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant requested members check on a male who had been sleeping in an idling truck for a couple of hours. Members attended and found the male was fine; he had got off work and was waiting to pickup an online grocery order as he lives a distance out of town
9:21 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Complainant attended the detachment to report hitting a deer
12:32 pm – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22/Hwy 620 – Members responded to assist the town Peace Officer who had attempted to stop a truck with a mismatch plate. The truck took off from area of Scotty’s Esso and then caused a collision when the driver pulled a u-turn on the highway in front of another truck. The driver then fled on foot and Police Dog Services was called to assist, though the track was not successful. The driver was identified by the passenger who remained. Charges are pending against a 40-year-old male from Breton who already had outstanding unrelated warrants.
1:43 pm – Lodgepole – Complainant reported that people have been going in and out of an abandoned building over the past days or possibly weeks. Members unable to attend at the time but will patrol and monitor the situation
2:15 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported hitting a deer with his truck, between the bridge and town
3:25 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Complainant reported two previously evicted tenants back and refusing to leave. Members attended, the two were packing up belongings still at the location. An arrangement was made suitable to all parties
3:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported someone had been smoking marihuana while driving, strong odour from the car involved. Members were dealing with a priority matter but followed up with the owner of the car later. The owner appeared sober and stated he had picked up a friend who had been partaking in the devil’s lettuce.
4:04 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported receiving a text regarding depositing money to his bank account from the government. Complainant provided his banking information and is now out $680 which was taken from his account by the unknown scammers. Under investigation
5:18 pm – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Park – Complainant reported two persons breaking into a possibly abandoned trailer. Members attended and located the pair who said they were purchasing the trailer and cleaning it out. Member contacted the owner of the trailer who verified the story, though one of the males was arrested on an unrelated warrant
5:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant requested a wellbeing check on a resident of the trailer park she manages. Member attended and located the male who was fine
11:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported a disturbance in an apartment, possibly domestic related. Members attended and determined a loud argument had been ongoing, and that alcohol was a factor. One person was removed from the apartment to prevent continuation
August 7
12:01 am – Drayton Valley – 54 St – Complainant reported possible fireworks. Member attended the area and witnessed the fireworks, but was unable to locate the responsible person
1:00 am – Drayton Valley – Rotary Park area – Complainant reported she had been assaulted, then seemingly began actively avoiding police. Members located several witnesses who said the complainant was not a victim, but an instigator by being intoxicated and spitting on people. Under investigation
10:34 am – Brazeau County – Members responded to a sudden death at a residence. Not suspicious, investigation turned over to the Medical Examiner
11:59 am – Parkland County – Tomahawk area – Residential panic alarm. Member attended, alarm false
12:11 am – Cynthia – Two complaints regarding access to a residence. Residence in dispute due to a split up of a commonlaw relationship. Advice given, situation mediated, no powers for police to decide who should stay
13:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 St – two calls received; hangup 911 followed by a request to assist ambulance. Members attended, paramedics on scene, police not required, medical issue
6:05 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – anonymous complainant reported a possible impaired driver; truck pulling a trailer, all over the road. Patrols made, truck/trailer not located. No further calls
8:21 pm – 62 St – Complainant reported a woman had been in a business bathroom for a long time, now sitting outside in a vehicle. Members attended and checked on the female who appeared to be fine and left the location
8:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 St – Complainant reported unknown culprit threw a rock through his van window. Under investigation
8:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 St – Complainant reported that after she was taken from a residence by ambulance, $200 went missing off her bed. Investigation unable to determine who took the money. All persons in the residence known to police
9:39 pm – Brazeau County – RR71 – Complainant reported a friend accused her of hitting him, then drove off in his motorhome across a field stating he was looking for his dog. Complainant then called back; male had returned, had been looking for his dog. Complainant concerned as she believes the male has dementia. The male then left again. Members attended and patrolled the area but were unable to locate the male, the dog or the motorhome. Male likely drove home to Whitecourt.
August 8
12:19 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Ave – Complainant reported suspicious activity and possible drug activity at a nearby residence. Member patrolled the area but the suspicious vehicle was gone
12:45 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported a possible impaired driver in a dark blue Chevy van; driving about the road and varying speed from 70-120 km/h. Members unable to locate the vehicle
12:45 am – Brazeau county – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no insurance.

5:45 am – Drayton Valley – Drayton Christian School – Complainant reported a male passed out on the field. Member attended, male was gone
1:31 pm – Brazeau county – request to assist fire department with a camper on fire near the dam. Member attended, fire had been extinguished. No injuries, everyone had been able to get out.
2:52 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report their son is acting very strangely and they are afraid. Son has left in vehicle. Members attended, son had returned and was going to go to bed.
4:46 pm – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued several violation tickets. Drivver did not have a Drivers licence.
5:17 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting an erratic driver. Vehicle was doing Break checks on the highway and not allowing vehicles to pass. Members unable to locate vehicle, however Registered owner was contacted and warned about their manner of driving.
7:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant calling to request members check on employee who had not shown up for work. Employee was fine, they had been sleeping.
10:50 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report a family dispute. Members attended, parties separated for the night.
August 9
8:25 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a semi truck side swiped their truck. Semi was travelling southbound and veered into the northbound lane. No injuries. Semi truck driver issued a violation ticket.
3:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant called to report that while they were parked in the parking lot at Tim Hortons, their Silver Dodge Ram truck was damaged. Other vehicle took off.
3:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting suspicious persons behind the pet store. One male and two females. Members made patrols in the area, individuals not located.
4:21 pm – Brazeau county – RR 91 – Complainant requesting assistance with a male who is acting strangely. Members attended and spoke with male, who was intoxicated, yelling and screaming. Male arrested for public intoxication.
5:31 pm – Brazeau county – Members on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Vehicle driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
7:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant calling to report they are being harassed. They were receiving messages constantly. Complainant advised to block other party. No harassing messages.
11:41 pm – Cynthia – 55 Avenue – Members attended to report of a disturbance. Members attended. Parties were in the process of splitting up. One party wanted to get their belongings. Members kept the peace while they obtained same.
August 10
11:17 am – Violet Grove – Complainant called to report they found a wallet in the gravel. Member attended and seized the wallet. Owner of wallet contacted.
11:25 am – Drayton Valley – 62 Street – Member on patrol was advised of a woman passed out in a vehicle in their parking lot. Member conducted a traffic stop with vehicle. Female was known to have outstanding warrants. Female arrested on warrants and held for hearing.
11:48 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Complainant reporting break and enter to residence. Members attended and located a window which had been removed from residence. Residence cleared. Members advised landlord to secure place.
1:18 pm – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Complainant called to report a dispute. Complainant advised that a male is currently in the process of being evicted. No issues.
1:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Several reports were received of an altercation. Male had been observed hitting a female and male and then took off. Members attended area, male arrested and held for bail hearing.
2:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant of an unwanted male sleeping in the bathroom. Members attended, male had left in a truck. Members conducted a traffic stop. No issues.
4:pm – Drayton Valley area – Complainant called to request police presence while they gather their belongings.
6:18 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant calling from campground advising of a disturbance. Altercation between father and son. Members located son who had left the area and returned them to campground. All parties spoken to.
6:42 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant reporting a fight in progress. Members attended, one male arrested and charged with assault.
6:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Request for assistance from members to escort male to Ponoka for assessment.
8:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Request from EPS to check on male as they had outstanding warrants. Members attended, male not at home.
August 11
3:56 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Complainant called requesting removal of intoxicated female. Complainant requested members tell intoxicated female to go to bed. Members attended and advised both parties to go to bed.
04:44 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Members were conducting an unrelated search and located a firearm which had been stored in an unsafe manner. Male charged with unsafe storage.
8:31 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting a suspicious male with blood on their face. Members attended and located known male who suffers from mental health issues. Male had got into an altercation, however was not cooperative when spoken to.
9:25 am – Brazeau county – complainant reporting theft of conductor and copper wire from a lease site.
10:08 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle parked behind the high school for several hours. While on the phone with the complainant the vehicle began to drive away.
10:16 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting theft from Vehicle over night. 2010 Silver Chevrolet Cobalt had been left open. Computer tower, headphones stolen.
12:36 pm – Drayton Valley – 62 Street – Complainant reporting an intoxicated male in an older model Chevrolet truck, beige in colour. Members attended location and made patrols, vehicle not located.
1:01 pm – Drayton Valley – WalMart parking lot – Complainant reporting their 2018 GMC Sierra, white in colour was struck while parked. Damage to the passenger rear corner.
1:57 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting theft of trailer. Complainant stated that they are aware of who stole the trailer. Matter is still under investigation.
2:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant called to report their vehicle taken without consent. Complainant located vehicle and advised it had been recovered.
2:33 pm – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Complainant reporting that known male and female had been evicted from premises. They have now broken into a shed on the premises and are living there.
3:26 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant advised they work for Stats Canada and is being followed by a male in a grey pick up truck. Members attended the area.
3:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Drayton Valley CPO requesting assistance with a dispute at the Scotia Bank. Member attended and located known male and female. Female arrested for uttering threats and later released. Male charged with breach of no contact conditions.
4:03 pm – Brazeau county – RR 73 – Report received of a 2 vehicle collision. Members attended, no injuries.
7:21 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a break and enter with a 2 week time delay. Items stolen belonged to the Air Cadet league in Drayton Valley. Military clothes, boots, laptops, compasses, etc stolen.
9:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 48A Avenue – Complainant reporting haybale fraud. Complainant tried purchasing bales through kijiji. Other party asked for a $600 deposit which was sent. Other party is now ignoring complainant.
